Terroir

Literally "terroir" could be translated as "land". The term complexifies and extends to the ideology of wine, food, art – anything that could be traditionally ascribed to land or region. Terroir prescribes that each area has individual characteristics bound together in one of a kind combinations. Each region puts forth an exceptional melange of tastes and smells, which is reflected in the products and food of a given area – and it is this uniqueness that enhances the quality and enjoyment of life.

Terroir has begun the exploration of food and wine in the Columbia Valley. It is our hope to understand and represent the food and wine of this incredible area.
